The FUV seats can be an expensive proposition. The standard seats, on the left in the picture below, are functional and made by Corbin. They have less stitching so they will hold less water in the threads. However, they may pucker from wear over time.
Diamond seats, on the right, are a huge upsell. At an extra $2200, all you get is more stitching. It isn't more comfortable. It isn't colored (any longer). It isn't a different fabric. And it isn't made by a different manufacturer (still those great Corbin seats). Both seats are heated at the bottom. Neither offer a heated back portion. The upsell on seats has greatly increased since the initial Evergreen model. Originally, Evergreens were offered with upgrades in stitching pattern and color. These cost around $300 for diamond stitching, and even more for colored seats. So that $2200 extra is a bit on the overpriced side. Maybe Arcimoto needs to find ways to try to break even on FUVs and this is just one of those ways.
