Frankly My Dear, I Don't Give a Door

The discussion on full doors on Youtube Channel's Disruptive Investing video with Mark Frohnmayer is pretty illuminating (9 minutes 30 seconds in). Actually, it is what many have been saying for years. There is no way to make doors that are sealed against the FUV frame without incorporating zippered ballistic nylon and boat vinyl window material. Full doors is it more complicated than we think? Mark admits the way the frame was designed makes it challenging to make a nice "fully fitted surface against that frame which is why soft upper enclosure is the nearer term option... Doors are surprising challenging... The mass market consumer vehicle (MMC) in phase 2 of our mass production plan with munro ... To get the full automotive feel, fit, and finish requires a massive amount of development and tooling.  It's a direction we plan to go. But we aim to be capital efficient ... in the building of the Arcimoto venture and there is a giant market in more temperate regions that doesn't have same requirement ... we've been going lowest hanging fruit first but it doesn't mean we don't intend to get to the fully embodied automotive fit and finish type of product, there is a considerable amount of develop effort to pull it off ... it is going to be a little bit of time."

Even COO Terry Becker admits half doors were a big challenge in their door introduction video (9:50).

Reading between the lines, I don't think upper doors or full zippered cloth/vinyl doors will be available any time soon, if at all. I do think Arcimoto is working on Platform 1.x and will likely look at the upper structure and completely revamp it to ensure doors will seal against the frame.
